Fonts discussion

Fonts for my Poster with slogan: you can't resist

1.     Oldstyle:

a.     you can't resist

I think this font (Palatino) would be kind of matching with my idea but it needs to be considered for what.

2. Modern

a. you can’t resist

This is a very straight forward font (Helvetica neue). It could be used as a letter font but not really for a poster it would kind of ruin it I think.

3. Sans serif

a.  you can’t resist

This font: Times new roman is very classic and I don’t really think I would use it in any kind of my work

4. serif

a.  you can’t resist

The font Apple Garamond could fit to my entire design idea. I really like it and how it works.

5. Decorative

a. you can’t resist

This font (Herculanum) is something that really matches my design. It is decorative and really matches my theme.

Color scheme:

Blue, - depth and stability. It symbolizes trust, loyalty, wisdom, confidence, intelligence, faith, truth, and heaven.

purple, - combines the stability of blue and the energy of red. Purple is associated with royalty. It symbolizes power, nobility, luxury, and ambition. It conveys wealth and extravagance. Purple is associated with wisdom, dignity, independence, creativity, mystery, and magic. Feminine color

black - power, elegance, and formality.

This design idea looks very noble and rich. It's very clean and looks like the spot to be. Its representing something very strong which is stable and trust can be put into it. The people that really don’t like to be too much risk takers will like this design idea a lot, and wont be able to resist.

Idea #2

Brief:

Inner City

Exclusively for girls/boys aged 12-17

inner-city cool with a focus on uniqueness

New York sensibility black and blue are the dominant colours

snow board and hip hop are also influences

Blake Lively is the model Type

slogan

you can't resist

Idea 2:

Color scheme:

Black, - power, elegance, and formality.

Lighter blue - depth and stability. It symbolizes trust, loyalty, wisdom, confidence, intelligence, faith, truth, and heaven.

Brown: reliability, credibility, comfort, endurance, stability, simplicity, comfort

This design idea really speaks to the brief. It is one of three models I have thought about, and this is basically the middle-class version. It incorporates a lot of ideas from Greenwich Village in New York; the style of everything is tried to match Greenwich Village. The pictures show how the people live in Greenwich Village and what kind of clothe they would like to wear. It really gives a good feel of how the style of this inner city could be.

Design Idea #1

Idea 1: (Style)(Feminine Design)
Color scheme:
Neon Pink - Feminine colour
Blue - depth and stability. It symbolizes trust, loyalty, wisdom, confidence, intelligence, faith, truth, and heaven.
Black - power, elegance, and formality.

This is the “poor” Inner City version. It is related to places such as Harlem and Brooklyn (sometimes even called Krooklyn because it is so nasty), and tries to incorporate its “style” into the basic idea. On the pictures, it can clearly be seen that the neighborhood isn’t very expensive, and the people living in it, are dressed like “G’s”. This is a very interesting Inner City idea because places like that aren’t designed too often.
